We have been seeing the same pediatric ophthalmologist at Primary Children's Medical Center in SLC for 2 years now. Things were slow, we only had appts every 6 months, and we really weren't seeing much change, despite new prescriptions. Lily's wandering eye kept...wandering! He is supposed to be the best in the state, but we weren't feeling very hopeful.
After talking with my cute friend Mindy (who's daughter Abby also has glasses) we decided to switch to her doctor. What a miracle! He has helped us so much, answered all our questions, and has helped us move forward. We are so grateful to have switched!
So thanks to Dr. Larsen, Lily now has a new, stronger prescription, bifocals, and we have a game plan. They are helping a lot so far, but we have to practice with her every day to get her to look through the bifocal when she's looking close up. We'll get there!

I'm so glad you found a good Doctor who is helping! It's amazing what the difference in Doctors can be. Lily still looks adorable in the glasses too.
That's great that you found someone who knows what they're talking about. We just recently switched pediatricians too and it has made a world of difference. Timothy was terrified of the last doctor but now he actually has fun going to visits. Lily looks so cute in her new frames!
So Jaq has something similar and I can't get my current dr. to tell me what is planned and if it can be fixed or anything. Out of curiosity, is Lily going to have to wear glasses all her life or is it going to get better. I'm trying to find a new dr. now since mine only checks Jaq once a year and it seems like his eyes have gotten worse instead of better or even the same. It's frustrating.
I'm so glad you like Dr. Larson....he has helped us so much. I have faith that Lily's eyesight will improve right along with her friend Abby's! Love you Rachie!
