Sew What!?

I wear modest linings under my clothes, as part of my church (It may sound weird, but it's not!) and I was surprised how many shirts I couldn't wear all of a sudden. So now, my BIG PILE of shirts to fix is complete...I got to keep all my old clothes, but I made easy and quick alterations so they cover my underwear completely!! Hooray!

Oooops...

Today I saw this graph online that shows recommendations for total weight gained during pregnancy:

When I got pregnant, I weighed 107...fast forward 9 1/2 months and I was at 170!! Total weight gained: 63 lbs!! Total embarrassment forever: Priceless.

Gone Green Lately

Lily and I have been religious about our smoothie-making, and we have pretty much come up with the perfect recipe:

3 handfuls fresh spinach
1 handful frozen blueberries
1 handful frozen strawberries
1/2 banana
orange juice
ice cubes

MMMMM, it's so sweet you can't even taste the spinach, so even Dan and Lily love it! Lily loves to be my little helper!

Also, OUR GARDEN IS GROWING!! I am so proud of my first little garden!

I also sewed a bunch of cute reusable grocery bags for both Lily and I...pictures to come!

Somebody has a poopie...

After Lily pooped her diaper today, she was determined to check Charlie to see if he had one too...I'll let the pictures tell the story!

Camping!!

This weekend, our little family had SO MUCH FUN camping in the Hobble Creek Canyon! We had a great time exploring and "roughing it" (sort of).
Here's my disgusting "I'm-not-so-sure-about-all-of-this" face:

Here's my girlie girl playing while we set things up. The closest thing we had to camping shoes was her pink cowgirl boots.

Here's Lily helping Dan set up the tent:

We had so much fun!! (Celeste--I thought you would be so proud of me for camping!)

do NOT read this if you get queasy...

This is absolutely disgusting.
I just got my IUD removed because it caused 2 years of infection, bleeding, discharge, and other yummy things. Doing a little more research, I came across this picture:

Here is the story behind it: "The patient is a 33 year old woman who presents with a 2 month history of post coital bleeding and vaginal discharge. She has 3 healthy chrildren via vaginal deliveries. She has taken oral contraceptives for the past 7 years, but now has an IUD in place for contraception. PAP smear and subsequent biopsy showed carcinoma."
OH MY GOSH!!

Le Parc

Today Lily and I went on a date to the park! She is so cute and funny...she was pretending to be a monkey and made sure to tell me what parts of the playground are for "big kids."

This is my favorite picture of the day:

Long Overdue...

I feel like I've lost my "blogging touch" lately...but here I am, ready to party. Here's what we've been up to lately:
Lily got sunburned!! I guess I needed a wake-up call that summer is really here and it's time for sunscreen and hats.

Lily & Rach:

Dan Dan:

Lily's been WAY into coloring lately...she'll come up to me with a page and say, "Mama..see...Lily made!!"

Today Lily and her cute friend Abigail went swimming and had SO much fun!

Sewing Projects

Here are a few fun things I have been working on lately:
Summer skirts for Lily (I'm in the process of sewing one for myself, too!)

I also made her this cute little apron so she can help me out around the house:

Springville Animals!

Tonight we went to Springville to meet some very interesting characters up-close and personal! Lily and Charlie had a lot of fun...as long as they didn't get too close!

The hairiest llama I've ever seen in my life:

We saw llamas, goats, pigs, yaks, ducks, swans, ostriches, and more!! The kiddos loved it!

Heeeeellllppppp!

It's only 11:30 and I've already run out of patience with Lily. Ugh, it's going to be a long day.
