This Weekend

We are REALLY going to enjoy this weekend, (not only because it celebrates 3 months of health and nothing but good news!) but because I go back to work on Monday!!! I am so excited to go back, get on a regular schedule, and be busy again. :)

It might not make much sense, but when you have been sitting around at home for 3 months, 90% of that time in pain and on the couch, unable to walk/drive/eat/play/do anything normal, I am grateful to be feeling good to have a good, fun, normal life again!

So I dare you to have as much fun as we'll be having!!

Considering I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SPORT THIS AWFUL MAN HAIRCUT,* does this look good or bad with the swoosh in the front?? If I am going Justin Beiber-y, please call me immediately and tell me to run inside before anyone else sees me.



*I forgot to say that I am totally grateful I even have this ugly hair cut to wear around. :)
*Also, still swollen. Doesn't it look like I got stung by bees in my eyes, cheeks and neck?? Hopefully this will go away with time. . .

New Kitchen Table

Just like with her dresser, I have let Lily put her own personal touch on the kitchen table I'm painting and re-finishing. She loves to be involved and be able to put her own creative spin on things!

1. DRIVING! (First day of driving was Tuesday and I feel like a free woman! It is HARD to not drive for 3 months!!)
2. Weed whacking like crazy
3. Painting
4. Re-upholstering
5. Moving
6. Buying
7. Sewing
9. I'm currently taking "drill lessons" from Dan
10. Learning about lacquer from a professional painter
11. Cleaning
12. Paperwork
13. Lots of Paperwork
14. Taking care of sick Lily (who is feeling much better, I'm happy to announce)
15. Needing 9+ hrs of sleep each night
16. No longer watching movies all day
17. Crying
18. Trying to stay positive
19. Yard work
20. NOT making dinner :)

...Life is crazy at the moment but I will try to keep you updated!!

And it was the funnest "sick day" of my life!

The Great Outdoors

Here are some pics from our first AND last camping trip of the summer. I am so glad we got to go! Mindy's husband was out of town, so Lily and I came to snuggle next to her in the tent so she wouldn't be lonely :)

My DARLING friend is picking Lily up and dropping her off MWF so she can start preschool on time (She's saving my life since I can't drive!!) I am so grateful! Here's the little doll on day 1:

Nevada Adventures

For those of you who don't know, my parents and siblings just moved to Reno, NV in January...I grew up in Denver so it is so strange to go visit "home" without anything familiar! Reno is a great town though, and they love it.
We had a BLAST. Lily looooves her uncles, Blake (9) and Spencer (13). Hannah and Heidi are 17 and they live at home too. It was so great to all spend time together.

We are happy to be home but definitely enjoyed our time in Reno. We are relaxed and rejuvenated and ready to get back to the grind! See you on Monday with more details!
