Getting Crafty

Yesterday, right when I felt like I WAS ABOUT TO LOSE IT, I took a deep breath.
Lily needs to get her energy out.
I need to do something I like to do.
We need to do something fun together.

So we ran into the dollar store and spent $2 in change to buy some little unfinished wooden plaques. Lily picked out a tulip and I got a bumblebee.

That was exactly what we needed :)

Pretty Pretty Princess

I have to say that Lily spent the whole day being quite the diva princess. Dress, shoes, crown, wand all included.
We first woke up and made her crown and wand:

And we wore them all day!

Library Trips

My cute friend Miriam and I have been spending some time at the Library with our cute little girls...and they love it! I love coming home every 2 weeks with about 10 new books to enjoy.

Oh, and I also love cleaning the covers with Lysol and spraying the pages with antibacterial spray.

BYU GRAD!

HUGE CONGRATS to Dan, who graduates from BYU today with double majors - Animation and Psychology.
He has put in so much work and so many hours and I am seriously so proud of him.
(I know you'll hate this post babe, but I had to!!)

Felt Play Food

100% Inspired by my dahling sewing teacher Miriam, I attempted to make some felt play food for Lily.
Here is her post that got me going...
And of course, mine turned out notably less impressive.
But here are the results:

Random!!!

1. Lily playing the drums...she is so cute!

2. Dan and I have been watching Kenny vs. Spenny every night. It's crude, rude, awful, illegal, and full of f-bombs. Needless to say, we love it.

3. Did you ever wear these saltwater sandals when you were a kid? I did and I loved them! I want to get a pair for Lily, but they're like $40. Lame.

4. Lily's upcoming birthday present: (okay, I'm totally excited!!)
A Lite Brite!
Here's the kind I played with as a kid:

And here's what we'll get for her - a pink flat screen!

Serious Thanks

Thank you so much ladies, for your thoughts. I've simply decided to take a deep breath and think more positively. I will never look like Kate Moss. Never. So instead, me and my tubby tummy will try to have a better attitude.

Weight A Minute...

Tonight I was standing outside talking to my neighbors while the kids played. What we all realized was that we are all unsatisfied and frustrated with our WEIGHT. Is this a mom thing? A woman thing? A lazy thing? I would love to hear your input/ideas/suggestions/thoughts/feelings/etc.

Late Easter Package

We got an Easter Package from my parents late...but that is so awesome because then the fun lasts even longer!
Lily was so excited to get something in the mail.

They sent us some fun tattoos, a bouncy ball-making kit, sidewalk chalk, and a bag of marshmallows. Making bouncy balls was so much fun!

Then we cleaned up...

...and ended with some Rice Krispies Treats. Yummmm! Thanks Nana & Pappy!
